The course is a lot of money and you often feel like you are put second to the med students, you see them often getting free things or different lanyards to differentiate the years and you don't get this. the teaching is not the greatest depending on who is doing it. Some lecturers go above and beyond to teach whilst others do not. read more

Operating Department Practice, BSc Hons FullTime

This course has been physically and mentally challenging with the long placement hours up to 30+ a week, alongside assignments and a lecture every week too. It can be difficult to find motivation sometimes, but it is a good course as we learn very complex skills such as Basic and immediate life support, and how to work in a real life environment outside of university. We get a lot of real work experience in the hospital - although I am usually exhausted from all the placement hours that take place. We have multiple lecturers, each with a different teaching style that sometimes works better than others. The job prospects from this course are great, as most people are employed or start working soon after they graduate. I do however, feel like healthcare students working 25-30+ hours per week should be paid fairly like ODP apprentices, as we do a lot of work too. read more

I chose anglia ruskin because my first degree in sports science was absolutely amazing. unfortunately i cant say the same for the public health msc. Horendous! Lecturers dropping out, lectures cancelled, no guidance, very bad in explaining and marking us down for things they told us "not to worry" about! supervisors unavailable. as a course rep i am talking on behalf of all the students. no professionalism, no communication, no enthusiasm, no RESPECT to the students paying so much money and in a place like Cambridge you would expect the best quality possible. the whole MSc class is absolutely furious read more
