Nursing is an intense course where your personal tutor offers you support where you need it and your nearly guaranteed for job when qualifying. The only negative experience I have had is that the different teachers sometimes don't communicate between them effectively, however this has never impacted my learning and is always resolved efficiently. read more

ARU is hands down the worst uni to study at unless you are a medical student. The level of discrimination against student that are not studying medicine is shocking. It’s strange to me because they don’t even have any graduate doctors yet! Their medical students are the Uni golden students. ARU medical students have been given access to renovated accommodation spaces and are also assigned to live in a block together (this allows the medical students to have an advantage, as they are able to live and socialise with the people on their medical course) other students are scattered all over the accommodation campus and accommodation campus and their rooms are not updated. My bedroom was dirty when I moved in and the carpet was blue with mould. The medical students have modern wooden floors. ARU also neglect the mental health of other students. Young nursing students are Expected to travel to Southend for placements with no support! The worst part is that ARU has given medical student acc read more

I feel so disappointed with the standard of teaching here. Covid adaptations have been absolutely fine, with the right technology to be able to study from home easily. The issue unfortunately is with the quality of teaching, although there are lots of Nurse lecturers, we are allocated just two lectures for all our teaching for the entire year. My group seems to have been unlucky and one main lecturer is not delivering engaging content or information in a clear way. Its really tainted my first year here and i'm considering transferring university for my second year. The teaching is just a bunch of rambling i'm afraid to say. ARU need to look at how they recruit the lecturers. Qualifications on paper, previous jobs that are constantly talked about does not make you suitable for a lecturer! read more

Course is not nursing it is paramedic science!! This was not an option to chose. The university have knowingly taken on to many students. When allocated placements students have been forced to travel over two hours to get to stated placement when an alternative was closer. This is not only dangerous but also extremely stressful. On the occasion a student has questioned this the said staff member has just told them nothing can be done and to deal with it read more
