The cost of livin...
The cost of living in this community is relatively fair. As a student, I refer to cook my meals so that I don’t spend a lot eating out; however eat out sometimes when I want to try a different meal, or I’m hanging out with friends, or I want to give myself a treat; the meals are great and the prices are fair too. This is an overall safe community, I do not have to worry about staying out late and worrying about how to get home safe. Shopping is easy here because there are a number of groceries stores, clothing items stores, charity shops, coffee shops, pubs, eateries, restaurants, spas, nail stores and so on around the community, again, Tesco, Lidl and Audi are located in a fair walking distance from The Buckingham High school. Also, there are bus stops around the community to make it easier to get the buses which come every hour without having to walk a far distance. read more

Obviously you can...
Obviously you cannot compare to the likes of London, Manchester, etc. But Buckingham has some great local shops and restaurants that are actually priced recently for their quality. There is a coffee shop in the heart of the town that I used to go to all the time to meet friends, or to study during rainy days. Because the town is small, if you become a "regular", sometimes they treat you a bit special. There was this Chinese place that I used to go to and they would offer me things off the main menu. Basic shops are there: tesco, costa, boots... etc. Night activities are very boring. You either have student union activities, or maybe like 10 places to alternate for drinks. Most people head to Milton Keynes for clubbing and for more restaurants. For me it's fine because I really just wanted to study, but for those who are more into partying, it may be a disappointment. read more
