We teamed up with the OCS Group to publish 12 awards to University Alliance institutions. In this article, we’ll reveal the best in class institutions for the following criteria:

  • Best course content
  • Best course job prospects
  • Best university career service

How did we choose the winners?

We didn’t.

We invited students to rate the quality of their universities. These awards are based on the opinions of 5,916 students.

UWE Bristol

My course is engaging, the workload is balanced and I am taught a good mixture of practical skills and theory. Anything you need, you are provided with. I’d recommend anyone to attend the University of the West of England.

UWE Bristol scored an overall rating of 4.2 out of 5 and ranked 1st out of 16 University Alliance institutions for the best course content, based on votes by 5,916 students. UWE Bristol has a reputation for offering practice-orientated courses and an inclusive approach to education. The university was awarded a Gold status for the TEF rating. The university provides different learning approaches and spaces to help every individual student reach their full potential. Some of the course-specific facilities available at UWE Bristol include a financial trading room, nursing stimulation suites and multimedia broadcasting studios. The university’s courses are designed to meet industry needs and provide students with a real-world learning experience.

UWE Bristol is one of the largest providers of Higher Education in the South West. Over 29,000 students are currently enrolled across the university’s three campuses. The university has a reputation for being globally connected and regionally embedded and it is consistently. 97% of UWE Bristol students are in work or further study 6 months after graduating and the average graduate salary is £22K (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey). UWE Bristol collaborates with industry to identify skills shortages and arrange a variety of work experience and employment enhancing opportunities for its students. The careers service is amazing and even offers free CV help and job search help even after you graduate.

Coventry University scored an overall rating of 4.1 out of 5 and ranked 1st out of 16 University Alliance institutions for the best university career service, based on votes by 5,916 students. Coventry University is located in Central England, West Midlands. The university’s Careers and Employability Services focuses on giving students a competitive edge in the graduate job market and preparing them for their future long before graduation. 98% of Coventry students are in work or further study 6 months after graduating and the average graduate salary is £21.9K (Destination of Leavers from Higher Education survey). Coventry University students have access to a range of courses and support services to help them prepare for graduate positions, professional training opportunities, internships and further study. Students at Coventry can get assistance with writing CVs and job applications, preparing for interviews, exploring overseas opportunities, identifying vacancies, understanding the recruitment process and much more.
