The university is pretty impressive and big. I have yet to explore the whole campus but looking at what I’ve seen so far I’m curious what else there will be to see and explore. Pretty easy to commute to the university from Paddington. read more

The course "Children's Nursing" can aggravating and difficult at times. Though the lectures are mediocre but nothing to complain about too much, the staff are very strict on professionalism and show quite a dislike towards their students. It is natural to favour certain students more than others but the divide becomes contrasting when compared to lesser outspoken students. They preach about supporting students and the acts of compassion as part of the NMC but they're pretty ruthless. For example, I am an advocate at the importance of punctuality, but the tutors will refuse anyone from entering their sessions past 9am even if you're a minute late. It doesn't matter if you had genuine reasons that delayed your journey, they pretty much just blame it all on you and question your skills as a professional. This anecdote is just one minor example of the brutality of the staff working at LSBU. Don't expect any support from this university, that's just the way things are. read more

Amazing facilities, cannot fault them. Wifi can be dodgy but that's to be expected. The clubs and societies are a bit on the rubbish side generally, there's very little effort put into them and you get the vibe no one really cares. read more

London South Bank University

London Southbank is ranked in the bottom 11% of UK universities (https://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/) for a reason. Course Depth: The overall course is lacking valuable content. My A-Levels and GCSE's have covered topics in greater detail than my course modules. Course Content: 90% of the content delivered on the course is contained in PowerPoints. A standard LSBU PowerPoint consists of images taken from other sources online and bullet points covering the topic. It is essentially information readily available online taken, recycled and organised slightly. I find the result is hard to engage with and lacking any depth or insight. Lecturers consistently read almost word for word from the already dry PowerPoints for 2 hours straight. I could simply read the PowerPoint myself. Or find an engaging resource online to learn the same topic in a fraction of the time. Please don't attend this university! I would write more but this review box has a limit. read more

Honestly my review of this university is absolutely dreadful. The level of help and support that's given it is abysmal. The lectures are pretty much a coin flip, half the time you get a decent lecturer that actually wants to teach and makes and effort and the other half you might as well teach yourself. Don't even get started on McLaren house halls, if you wish to be respected and treated with human decency then I would stay well away. read more
